Title: Turbo porting
Post by: Bazross on August 16, 2017, 09:28:47 am
Well after fitting the 3 inch blitz system and custom made down pipe and Decat coupled up to  a KnN cone filter I am getting boost creep  :'(
So while I'm waiting for the cam belt kit to come I've decided last night to take off the turbo and port the waste gate.
Once the turbo was off and the gate opened you could feel a ridge in both ports with your finger, one worse than the other
So rather than take a die grinder to it and risk grinding out to much I opted for some fine needle files
It did take a couple of hours but the end result was a smooth bore and minimal removal of material as I wanted to smooth the gas path rather than open up the gate as there seem as it doesn't have much on the side walls to start
Hopefully this will sort out the creep and improve the wastegate flow I'll let you know
