Well, I finally got round to booking the 1sex5 in for an MOT Grin Grin Grin

'Tis booked for 2pm tomorrow Cool

Whoever guesses what it fails on gets a free stamp addressed envelope (Brown A5. Un-re-usable as the Post Office will have already put their stamp on it by the time it gets to you Grin) Grin

I am right in thinking that if you are driving to/from a booked MOT it is OK to do so without Tax and Test aren't I??? Huh?

Something basic like a faulty brake light?
or faulty brakes... or pitted discs... 45% on handbrake?
Good luck mate and when was the last time you had a reminder that MOT was due?Huh??

Checked all lights, put new wipers on last week, all 'seems' to work as it should.
Just need to shoot out in the morning to buy an exhaust bracket (I picked a 2" bracket up and need a 2.5 lol)
The car is VERY clean inside and out which should hopefully make the kind mr tester think it is well looked after Cool
I think it will fail on the brakes...they work very well but don't look too great...I may just get the wire brush to them tomorrow morning if I have time Wink

Not too bad Sad

Failed on both front to rear brake pipes and the front pipes that work their way through the inner wings to the flexis.
Not too bad all in I guess and they quoted 80 - 100 quid to sort it providing it doesn't take them more than half a day LOL.
I have to say, they are rather 'lenient' (sp?) when it comes to testing Wink BUT, they do check the essentials Cool He turned a 'sympathetic' eye to the non self cancelling indicators etc Wink
Should hopefully be done and tested by Tues/Wednesday Grin

HOWEVER, on the drive back home I've found out just how *BLEEP*E the Yoko M+S Tyres are in the wet Shocked Shocked Shocked Rather bad understeer on a left hander but the 'Runway' Ditch finders on the back let loose after a bit of throttle which brought it back in the right direction :DLMFAO

I almost forgot how nice it was to drive Grin
There seems to be a boosting problem but there are no error codes.
Sometimes it pulls like a train Cool but at other times it was rather juddery when boosting Huh?

Is self cancelling indicators a requirement?  Never known them test that on mine.
