Well Last night she fired up again!! Cheesy Grin

So far, we have,
Taken engine and box out, striped down engine, replaced cylinder head with reconditioned one from Betsy, fitted new steel Headgasket 1.2mm and ARP head bolts, Cleaned up pistons (which were ace condition) fitted new Injectors, removed EGR, All New gaskets and seals, replaced thermosat etc. Fitted New 205 clutch, Fidanza Flywheel and 205 box.

Fitted My HKS evc boost controller, ( not set up yet)

Stripped and replaced all front suspension with KYB AGX adjustable inserts, Whiteline anti lift kit, Poly bushed suspension, Whiteline Control front springs, New Anti roll bar bushes, New adjus Camber bolts re built drive shafts and cleaned all components. waiting on white line front strut brace.

Rear suspension now features Adj Anti roll bar, Whiteline control rear springs, New shox, Rear strut brace new drop links etc.

Everything that I could replace if worn has been.

She has now been dyno set up and I have had the suspension pro set up. tell you what on the limited driving I have done so far it is like a new car, Responsive, fast and nimble with direction changes and a ride that is firm without being crashy.

New MO rims and 205 40 17" Yoko Paradas complete the mods.

All fluids have been replaced, a Metro turbo rad has been fitted as the IC rad, the AC has been stripped out, the aussie down pipe has been lagged,

She is making 255bhp and lots more to come, but next new windscreen then interior make over with re trim, all new gauges and flocked dash!!

Massive, huge thanks to Doug, Mr D, for all his help...

Watch out 205 and 185 owners... Trinity 165 is back and she is goin to be mean, fast and sexy!!!!!!!!!!!

I went 1.2 as I did not want to alter the compression much, and is not my intention to run much more boost than 1.2bar max. I fitted the gasket more as a precaution than an aid to obtaining further performance.

My goal is a reliable 165 engine, which still uses stock insides and the charge cooler along with the ECU, (although I am considering a power FC)

I have to say that it's cars like this and Gaz's that made me want a 165 after the CS went. Just a damn pity I couldn't find one at the time Sad

Hey Alwayz, noted you fitted i 205 box, try to get your hands on the rear diff as well, i noticed alot of difference when i replaced mine, gave it a bit to much out of a petrol station one night after fitting it and ended up facing in the wrong direction, Embarrassed  turn of the wheel, power on dump the clutch i can get the car sideways in the rear end.
But well done on the restoration, makes a big big difference to the 165.
hopfully i will have some pics up soon, bonnet still in the spray shop with the custom bar, i ve fitted a HKS timing belt, blue silicone hoses, blitz water temp gauge, custom coil overs to the front coming as is boost conroller and greddy catch can.
cheers form OZ Cool

Cheers guys Grin

Makes all the effort all worthwhile!! And as we did most of the labour ourselves, bar the setting up, I learnt loads!

Next step is the interior, but I am on look out for a good 205 diff Wink

I intend to get the car as good as I can by year end so that I can get a feature in one of the jap mags!
