I must admit to loving the look of the XF. From what i've read, it would be a nice alternative to the competitors in it's class. 4.2 Supercharged? Just do it.  Cool

Looks nice but I think there is nicer for 30k...
Does it have to be a new car? You'd have loads more choice at 30k if you were willing to get something a year or 2 old...

Ohh where to start....Similar cars to the Jag....and some not so similar  Wink

How about....
2007/2008 Audi RS4? Seen a few of them for around the 30k mark
2007 ish E90 M3, yeah its a beemer but they are bloody good
Not like a jag, but If you look hard enough a Ferrari 355 (always wanted one of these)
Again nothing like a jag but the new Focus RS looks wicked and gets great reviews. Lets face it, its an RS and in 10 years it will be twice as much you'd have about 5k change as well (probably need that for the insurance Grin)
Evo 10, 4 doors, boot, huge power  Cheesy
R34 GT-R - getting old but amazing cars
New Nissan 370Z - looks just like the new Skyline for well under 30k
911 turbo (around 2002/2003 for 30k) will last forever but if you don't like 911's then forget this one. I personally love them. My old boss had one and it was great to drive. All round super car, great in town, traffic, great on the motorway and stamp on the loud pedal and great everywhere else as well  Smiley
Tuscan speed 6 for about 20k (always wanted one)

Sorry there are probably loads more and I could waffle on all day about what car/s I'd get with 30k... Grin

Thing with the jag is it will go down in value quite fast. Always the plus side to buying used cars, most of the money has already been lost  Wink

Funny you mention jags, I have just noticed you can pick up a 95/95 XJR for about £4k

320bhp, 380lbft from a 4.0 supercharged engine...I reckon that has a lot more to give

Strip it, up the power and you would have an awesome sleeper Cheesy
