Hello all Had my black (the fastest colour) 95 JDM ST205 since Feb and still loving every second of it. Still quite new to turbo's/4WD but learning all the time, though I think I've got the hang of "faffing" judging by the stack of receipts for shiny bits Dave

Hello and welcome Dave. Someone gave you the wrong info regarding black being the fastest colour though. The drag coefficient ratio of your silver jobby is far superior to any other colour Cheers John

I'm in Bournemouth on the sunny south coast Nosher, well it's sunny today anyway Recognise you and quite a few others from the OC I've seen the colour argument a few times now and I'm sure it was decided that black is fastest

John is right, The particle seperisation tecnique used in the manufacture of black paint is different to all other colours. The mineralistic properties of the conglomeristic atomisation used in making the black paint makes it at least 5milligrams per litre heavier than other colours Didnt you know ;D

Actually gold is the fastest colour. Then silver, then anything else in the light sepctrum in the order of the rainbow, and lastly black. Why? well, liek when you wear black on a sunny day you roast right? Cos it absorbs the heat. Therefore a black car will absorb the weight of the sun, and the sun being the largest object in the galaxy weighs a fair bit, so black cars carry all that weight and therefore are slow. gold is the best heat refelctor (as used in Mclaren F1 engine bay) so it repels the light, and in fact is so good at repelling, it even gives off its own heat and reduces its own weight, thereby making it even faster than physics would allow. On this line of thin logic therefore, maybe Xray colour would be even faster. Now to chuck a spanner in the works - how fast would a "black light" one be?
