Hi, I've just signed up for full membership after being a guest member for the past 4 years.

For those that don't already know me off the OC and DC. My name is Dan (there's a subtle clue in my username) and I'm from Chester. My car is a silver ST205 affectionately known as TUL1P due to it's registration. My interest in the GT4 is to have a decent track-capable car, yet for it to remain a usable daily driver to get me to and from work etc in relative comfort (retained standard seats and belts).

I do the vast majority of the work on my car myself (including the building of the engine).

Rough specs of the car are as follows:

Engine:

Linered rev 3 block
ACL/King bearings
Standard rods
CP pistons
ARP studs
Clutchmaster FX300 clutch
F1 Racing Chromo flywheel
Head completely stock apart from ATS adjustable pulleys
Garrett GT3071R .63AR turbo w/ external wastegate &  screamer producing ~360bhp/360lb.ft @ 1.2 Bar
Stock inlet manifold.
Modified WRC exhaust manifold with anti-lag ports blocked and EGT probe added, custom adaptor welded onto outlet for turbo & wastegate
Evo 8 FMIC with Crossy pipework
AAS custom exhaust
Koyo radiator
Autronic SM4 ECU self-wired and mapped

Chassis:

Stock 1994 shell with useless bits removed for lightness
Gel-cell battery relocated to spare wheel well
BC Racing BR-series coilovers
RT-Performance 3 point front strut brace
EBC yellow stuff pads and dimpled & grooved discs DOT 5.1 fluid
Falken FK452 (road)
Dunlop Direzza DZ02G (track)

A couple of recent pictures of the car on track at Curborough:

A video from the morning:

...and having a splash about in the rain after lunch:

Mandatory engine bay shot (needs a cold-box for the filter and a seriously good clean and tidy up!  Embarrassed )

Current on-going projects are:

1. To cure a peculiar misfire over 1.4 Bar, which I think I've narrowed down to badly corroded cabling going to the coil. So a rewire is in order. I've also been playing around with coil-on-plug units so may just switch to them instead (having firing order issues with them currently  Huh? ). Once sorted I'll map the car up to 1.6 Bar which will hopefully be close to the 400/400 mark.

2. Sort a cold airbox and feed for the air filter.

3. Remove the non-functional ABS unit.

4. Replace the cylinder head (fitted with worn and pitted cams and 'bearings' when I built the engine but it was all I had available at the time)

5. Continue design work on a dual-plenum inlet manifold, likely to be made from carbon fibre.

They're very nice, I've got the optional adjustable top mounts for the rears as well so have got camber adjustment all round. However it's probably worth pointing out that they require a notch to be cut into the bodywork if you want more that -1° camber on the rears. I'm running -1.5° all round with them and find them to be great for road use, and I'll find out next Monday what they're like on track with those settings.  Smiley

Welcome Dan. Impressive work you've done. I like to see another Four being chucked around on track.
